About the Role
You will work as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, engaging with clinical staff and coders, offering expert guidance, reviewing documentation practices and providing actionable feedback. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between documentation and clinical coding, ensuring compliance and driving improvements across the system. The initial focus will be on Hospital Acquired Complications at John Hunter Hospital while also implementing CDI practices into SDPR workflows.
About You
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a systems thinker, and a good communicator who can nurture positive relationships with varied services and teams. You should have Clinical Coding experience in an acute care environment or formal qualifications in Clinical Coding with demonstrated knowledge across a broad range of specialties.
