Job Title: Academic Mentorship Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to provide tailored tutorial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying STEPS, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses across various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
* Offer one-on-one academic support to students, guiding them towards academic success and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
* Mentor students across various course levels, helping them develop skills and knowledge in their chosen field.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
* A completed qualification at the level at which you are tutoring (e.g., minimum bachelor's degree to tutor Bachelor-level courses).
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
* Currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Blue Card to comply with relevant legislation for regulated employment in education and care services.
