About the role
A number of payment related risks are owned by the Client Divisions with the Scheme Integrity branch owning the control activity. The role of the Forensic Accountant is to help mitigate these risks, by providing specialised advice to assist decision making in the client divisions.
The role involves the assessment, review, in-depth analysis, detailed reporting and conduct of validation enquiries into high-risk claims for economic loss, economic consequences, dependency benefits, restitution/fraud matters and loss of earnings (LOE) and loss of earning capacity (LOEC) benefits.
About the Team
Reporting to the Team Manager, Forensic Accounting this role sits within the Forensic Accounting team in the Scheme and Integrity Branch, which is represented by highly capable, energised people who are passionate about supporting client outcomes and a viable scheme.
What we're looking for
Your Qualifications & experience
You are a Qualified CA/CPA (or working towards), with experience in accounting, auditing, business services, taxation, insolvency & reconstruction or similar areas. You can effectively analyse financial information, interpret and apply legislation and/or Accounting Standards.
Your communication skills
You have the ability to influence stakeholders effectively, responding to their needs in a flexible and concise manner, either in verbal and/or written form.
