Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital
We are seeking applications for a Cafe Assistant to join our Catering (Cafe) service at Ballarat, on a casual basis.
Cafe Assistants are responsible for providing high quality products and services to our cafe customers. Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service, strong customer service, clearing and cleaning of all areas and food and drink preparation/service associated with delivering the objectives of the Cafe.
The Position
* Merchandising food and beverage prior to service hours
* Clearing and cleaning of all areas associated with the Café.
* Carries out safe food handling techniques in relation to purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation and delivery.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience working in a customer service environment, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and able to work effectively with a team. Primarily we are looking for new team members who have cafe experience, ideally with barista experience.
Our cafe operates 7 days per week, participation in weekend roster is required.

* Hourly rate: $33.40 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation
