This position offers the opportunity to work in the main referral hospital and primary facility for trauma treatment in the North West region of Queensland. The hospital provides comprehensive services, including ambulatory, sub-ambulatory, and inpatient care, with 3 operating theatres and a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit / High Dependency Unit (ICU / HDU). Procedures encompass general surgery, acute trauma, obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, and dental services for both adults and children.
The role allows you to develop your interests within anaesthesia, such as ICU perioperative medicine, pain management, and medical education. Teaching junior medical staff and contributing to hospital innovation are also opportunities available.
