About the role :
Seymour College is seeking an experienced Teacher to take on addition responsibilities for the role of Acting Upper Primary Sport and PE Coordinator, overseeing and driving high‑quality sporting programs across Years 3–6. This role plays a key part in shaping student engagement, wellbeing, and pathways to excellence, while fostering participation, skill development and a lifelong love of sport.
This fixed term teaching role and Position of Responsibility is offered as up to 1.0 FTE, for the 2026 school. The ability to teach a second subject being highly desirable, the key responsibilities are to:
* Coordinate Upper Primary IGSSA and School Sport SA (SAPSASA) programs, including registrations and fixtures.
* Communicate effectively with staff, coaches, families and students regarding expectations, schedules and events.
* Maintain accurate participation and team data in Synergetic, SOCS and Clipboard.
* Support, supervise and liaise with internal and external coaches, coordinate referees.
* Oversee training sessions and assist with before/after‑school sport supervision.
* Manage facility use, equipment, risk assessments and safety compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
The successful application will hold:
* Academic qualifications, suitable experience and a background relevant to the role, including maintaining a South Australian Teaching Registration Certificate with the Teacher's Registration Board SA.
* Proven experience coordinating sport programs and working collaboratively with others.
* The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* A commitment to the College's values and the wellbeing of every child.
* Current WWCC, RRHAN‑EC certification, Bronze Medallion certificate and First Aid in an education setting (HLTAID012).
