Senior Occupational Therapist

P2 Permanent-part time opportunity 0.6 FTE (Monday – Wednesday).
About The Role
You will be providing advanced clinical expertise as part of the Occupational Therapy department at the Joondalup Health Campus in the orthopaedic and surgical wards.
You will provide evidence-based interventions that align with best practice guidelines to delivering outstanding care to our patients.
You will support junior staff members to grow and develop their clinical skills within the orthopaedic and surgical caseloads.
You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our orthopaedic and surgical services, and drive service development.
Specific Professional Registration And Compliance Requirements
Current Registration with AHPRA
WA Driver's License.
To be successful in this role, you will need to address the following selection criteria:
Essential
Minimum of two years clinical experience in acute orthopaedic/surgical wards and/or an inpatient acute hospital setting.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service providers, external agencies, patients, families, and caregivers.
Demonstrated ability to apply clinical reasoning, sound judgement and complex decision making at an advanced level of practice, considering broader implications and longer-term impacts of decisions
Experience providing clinical education and supervision to junior staff members and students.
Desirable
Completion or progress towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Remuneration: Salary commensurate with experience
