About the Roles We are currently offering exciting and rewarding opportunities for experienced Underground Electricians at Fitzroy’s Carborough Downs mine site as part of the Bord and Pillar team. Key Responsibilities: Promote a safe work environment while effectively managing risks. Perform electrical maintenance in accordance with Queensland Coal Mining legislation and safety requirements. Ensure timely completion of preventive and statutory inspections, addressing any maintenance requests. Conduct breakdown repairs to electrical equipment as needed. Support maintenance planning by providing job scoping and estimates for labour, parts, and materials. Utilise your electrical knowledge and drive to maintain high standards that support the safe and efficient production of coal. What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this role, we are seeking a candidate who is passionate about coal mining. The ideal applicant will have: Extensive experience in Bord and Pillar or Development essential Experience with Komatsu 12CM12 Double Pass Continuous Miners and 10SC32 Shuttle Cars essential Experience with Pempek Continuous Miner Control Systems is advantageous Relevant Trade Qualifications and Tickets. Queensland Standard 11 – Surface and Underground certification. A Queensland Electrical License Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain). EEHA Certification A proven track record of working safely. A commitment to achieving business goals and outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
