We are seeking a strategic audit, governance and risk professional to lead Landgate’s assurance, compliance, risk and business continuity functions. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, provide strategic insights that influence decisions and drive a culture of accountability and objective decision making that enables optimised business performance.

This is a permanent full-time position, however part-time arrangements may be considered.

About the team/business unit

The Assurance and Risk team is responsible for the delivery of the assurance, compliance, risk management and business continuity functions. The team provides independent and objective assurance and advisory services across all areas of Landgate, regarding the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, and corporate governance systems, as well as implementing effective risk management and business continuity. The audit function has dual reporting lines into both Landgate's Chief Executive Officer and the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, to provide assurance and oversight on behalf of the Board.

About the role

The Director, Assurance and Risk lead the design and implementation of Landgate's assurance, risk, and compliance frameworks to enable effective delivery of strategic objectives and support optimised performance of the business. As Landgate’s Chief Audit Executive, the role is responsible for oversight and management of the auditing arrangements in accordance with the Strategic and Annual Audit Plans, approved audit charter, relevant Treasurer's Instructions and the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the behaviours and mindset of anMultiple Area Leaderand have:

Significant experience planning and executing risk-based audits at strategic and operational levels.

Experience in developing and implementing governance, risk and compliance frameworks.

Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams through cultivating a team environment that aligns with Landgate’s values and culture.

Demonstrated experience in working with Board, CEO and senior leaders to provide strategic advice.

As per TI 10, possession of a current membership as a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with CPA Australia, or Chartered Accountant (CA) with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or Professional Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (PMIIA) or membership with the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), or relevant experience, skills and knowledge to perform the role.
