Emu Park State School is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) for a temporary period from 19 May 2025 to 27 June 2025.
This is a temporary full-time position for Term 2, with extensions not exceeding 12 months.

About The Role
As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include:
Managing and coordinating advice and support from the Special Education and Early Childhood Development Programs.
Leading these programs and providing advice to classroom teachers for students with disabilities.
Offering advice to school leadership and staff to plan and implement reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.
Coordinating and providing targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
Managing casework for students needing significant adjustments.
Supporting staff in accessing specialist services and professional development.
Participating in school decision-making and professional development to contribute to school goals.
Implementing school-wide systems to monitor and record data on students with disabilities.
Building partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups.
Managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve goals.
