Synergie Australia are seeking passionate APS6 Mental Health Clinicians for a trusted Federal Government client, based in Eastwood, SA. The important parts: Pay: APS6 equivalent (approx. $67.24 – $76.36 per hour Super) | ⏳ Duration: Until January 2027 with strong potential for extension Hours: Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week What you will be required to do: Deliver life‑changing, trauma‑informed mental health support to Australia’s veterans and their families within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment including metropolitan and regional South Australia. Key responsibilities include: Providing evidence‑based individual, couple and family counselling Conducting intake, assessment, formulation and clinically appropriate risk assessments Managing cases and maintaining accurate, confidential clinical records using the Client Management System Participating in regional intake, triage and allocation processes to ensure clients are matched to appropriate services Working across multiple service locations, including satellite sites and regional outreach as required Liaising with families, external treatment providers and internal stakeholders (with consent) to coordinate care Attending case reviews, clinical supervision and CPD to maintain professional registration Contributing to group programs, service improvement initiatives, community engagement and service promotion activities To be successful in the role you will: Hold full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with AHPRA, OR Be a Social Worker with AASW membership, OR Hold a Master’s‑level Counselling qualification with PACFA (Registered Clinical Counsellor) or ACA Level 3–4 Demonstrate experience delivering trauma‑informed, client‑centred mental health care, especially with complex and vulnerable populations. Strong clinical judgement with proven ability to conduct risk assessments and manage crisis situations effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
