The Finance Manager is a champion operator who leads with integrity and a servant heart. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll be part of the Executive Team, shaping financial strategies that align with our cultural, operational and missional goals. You will coach the finance team, drive planning across budgeting and forecasting, and proactively improve processes to build momentum and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & strategy: Coach the finance team; contribute at Executive level; present monthly reports to the CCSRA Board; lead deep dives across business units; drive strategic financial planning and initiatives; partner with the CEO, executive and managers; serve actively on the Finance Committee.
Financial operations & compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and ACNC requirements; prepare monthly/annual reports with variance analysis and KPIs; lead the annual audit and statutory submissions; oversee payroll, accounts and operations; strengthen internal controls through robust policies; own/review key docs including insurances, leases, licenses, sponsorships and SLAs.
Stakeholder engagement & communication: Build trusted relationships with the Board, trustees, agencies, sponsors and community partners; communicate financial information clearly to staff, volunteers and the broader community.

What You'll Bring (Selection Criteria)
Relevant accounting qualifications; membership with CPA or CAANZ.
Proven financial management experience, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
Strong understanding of budgeting processes and cashflow forecasting.
Meticulous, quality-focused execution and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
