About the opportunity
We are seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our Fleet Solutions team. This is an opportunity to work in a stable, community‐focused environment with an extensive and diverse range of plant and fleet assets. You'll be working across a broad mix of equipment including heavy vehicles, earthmoving machinery, road‐making equipment, light vehicles, landscaping equipment, buggies, woodchippers and specialised equipment that supports essential Council services.

More than just a mechanical role, this position offers exposure to fleet and asset management practices. You'll gain an understanding of lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, reliability and data‐driven decision making.

About you
* Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
* Experience working on light vehicles, heavy vehicles, major plant and minor plant
* Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
* Interest in quality maintenance and asset care
* Willingness to learn, share knowledge and be part of a supportive team
