Our client is a male in his 20s who shares his house with another gentleman with disabilities. Our client is friendly and easy going and enjoys music and going out to parks and for coffee and lunch. Our client is non verbal and uses gestures to communicate. Our client requires full assistance for all self care activities, except feeding.
- **Some tasks you may be doing**:_
- Building relationship with the client
- Assisting with transport - must have license and be confident to drive client's automatic vehicle
- Interacting with client to do recreation based activities
- Assist client with hygiene activities
- Meal preparation
- Cleaning duties
- Accompanying our client to access the community to allow them to build skills and pursue their interests
- Active nightshifts to observe client sleeping as he has severe sleep apnoea
Specific tasks differ depending on the time of day you are working.
- **About you**:_
To be successful in the position you will have:
- Current WWC Check
- Employer
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Certificate 3 or above in Individual Care, Education, Nursing or Youth, preferred but not required, experience taken into account.
- Experience in hoisting
- The ability to work independently and seek support remotely when needed
- Due to our client's limited receptive language, staff must have clear english

Base rate is Level 2 under the SACS award, depending on qualifications and level of experience.
All staff start at casual until they've achieved their desired hours and then permanent part-time/full-time is available.
