Overview
Quorum Software is a leading provider of digital technology focused on business workflows in the energy sector. The Business Development Representative (BDR) will generate pipeline through prospecting, drive engagement, support events, and turn early interest into meaningful opportunities. The role is collaborative, energetic, and offers hands-on experience in sales development, event execution, and account strategy.
Responsibilities
Quickly learn Quorum products, communicate value propositions, and respond to objections and competitive questions.
Develop and execute a strong prospecting plan through email, phone, and social media outreach.
Analyze market data and databases to create actionable campaigns targeting traditional energy sources and capturing new market share.
Generate, evaluate, research, and nurture outbound and inbound leads to become qualified opportunities.
Collaborate with Sales to define and action outbound campaigns, identify key accounts/personas, and stimulate opportunities.
Consistently achieve qualified sales opportunity quotas to meet territory revenue objectives.
Diligently update and maintain CRM with contact, account, and activity information.
Help build awareness of special projects or events across multiple geographies.
Shadow Sales counterparts in meetings and other activities to acquire skills for future roles on the Quorum sales team.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or other energy-industry related fields.
2–5 years of proven outbound business development, software sales, technology/energy consulting, or financial analyst experience.
Fast learner of advanced applications, business workflows, and concepts, with ability to cultivate relationships that convert with financial and operational customers.
Familiarity and willingness to learn consultative sales tactics, processes, and methodology.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
Experience with Outreach sales engagement platform (ideal but not required).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; strong writing, speaking, and listening; cross-cultural and multi-lingual experience is a plus.
Fearlessness – willingness to make new calls daily and explain Quorum's value proposition.
Obsession with prospect happiness – sets the stage for effective follow-up.
Comfort with challenging the status quo and improving processes.
Flexibility – adapt quickly to change.
Curiosity and willingness to learn about Quorum's innovations over time.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
