Ready to step up? Tradelink Launceston is seeking an experienced Internal Sales & Trade Counter Specialist to join our close-knit team. This is more than a counter sales role. You’ll play a key part in driving sales, building relationships with local plumbers and builders, and managing quotes and follow-ups to win business. You’ll also have the opportunity to step into an acting 2IC capacity, supporting the Business Manager and gaining exposure to higher-level responsibilities. This is a full-time role (38 hours per week) based in Launceston, TAS. Your new role Reporting to the Business Manager, you will play a key role in driving branch sales performance and supporting daily operations. You will: Support trade customers at the counter and over the phone Prepare quotes and follow up to convert sales Build strong relationships with local tradies Manage orders, supplier follow-ups and deliveries Assist with stock control and branch operations Support the showroom team when required Take on additional responsibilities in an acting 2IC capacity This is a fast-paced trade environment where initiative, product knowledge and strong customer engagement make the difference. What you’ll bring Experience in plumbing, trade or building supplies ( highly regarded ) Internal sales, trade counter or strong customer service experience Confidence dealing with tradespeople and building relationships A proactive, sales-focused mindset Ability to multitask in a busy environment Initiative and willingness to step up into more responsibility Driver’s licence (forklift licence preferred) You’ll go beyond processing orders — building relationships, winning business, and strengthening customer loyalty.
