Job Title: Proposal and Business Development Lead

This role requires a strategic thinker to drive Hanwha's business growth initiatives by overseeing the end-to-end business development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will ensure the implementation of best practices across scheduling, business capture, proposal decision gates, and colour team reviews.


Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the internal bid and phase review process for ASDEFCON responses creating high-quality & competitive proposals (RFQTS, ITR, RFI, RFP, etc.)
* Manage the bid schedule of proposal plans and presentations, phase and gate reviews
* Develop and responsible for bid and proposal budget management and relevant tracking and reporting


Process Ownership:

* Lead and manage the full business development lifecycle, ensuring structured and effective execution of decision gates and review processes
* Oversee proposal governance including facilitating business development lifecycle business decision gates and colour team reviews, including bids and proposals financial management on behalf of the BDD
* Drive schedule discipline of BDM when bids are active, following the standard phase and gate review process


Proposal Governance:

* Oversee governance for bids and proposals, including financial management, and facilitate key business decision gates and colour team reviews on behalf of the Business Development Director (BDD)


Strategic Networking:

* Establish and maintain robust inter- and intra-company networks to support collaborative bidding and project efforts, enhancing solution development, business growth, and profitability


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business (or equivalent industry work experience)


Experience:

* Experience in the Defence sector, specialising in Capture and Proposal Management
* Have led or been a part of defence industry responses to government contracts (ASDEFCON)
* Demonstrated Project Management capabilities (Preferred but not Essential)
* Experience in Capture and Proposal Management, including proficiency with the Shipley Bid Process (Or similar) will be highly regarded
* Financial Management experience, including tracking and reporting

* High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional internal and external relationship management
* Ability to coordinate, influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve aligned business development outcomes
* Navigate complexity and ambiguity to make effective commercial and financial decisions
* Ability to translate technical information into clear, persuasive language
* Project management skills to coordinate complex efforts and timelines
* Financial acumen to coordinate Pricing, budgeting, and financial analysis
* To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance (must be Australian Citizen).
