As part of this transformation, we're seeking dedicated Catering Assistants to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
The shifts we have available are from 15:30 to 19:30.
About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing and dignity of our residents by providing high-quality food service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Preparing and serving meals according to the Chef's instructions
Delivering meals in a respectful, person-centred manner that supports resident independence and preferences
Maintaining accurate dietary records and reporting any discrepancies
Collaborating with the care team to gather feedback and support special events
Assisting colleagues during busy periods and promoting a supportive team environment
What You'll Bring
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Food Safety or related field (desirable)
Understanding of food safety standards
Warm, empathetic communication skills and experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds
Professional and respectful approach to residents and their families
A commitment to upholding the dignity, values, and spiritual beliefs of those in your care
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
