Space Launch Engineer
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as we work towards launching rockets into space.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will perform hands-on engineering and liaison role between the design teams and manufacturing organisation as we work to iterate on designs and ramp into the manufacturing phase.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform structured root cause analysis of in-process failures and implement corrective actions.
* Design and delivery of new process as required.
* Design, installation and commissioning of capability as required.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain Dept. to establish robust supply chains and sourcing strategies.
* Lead continuous improvement efforts of established product to reduce issues, decrease manufacturing time, and lower costs.
* Prepare engineering documentation necessary for the transition from development to production including manufacturing processes, standards, assembly procedures, test procedures, standard operating procedures, bills of materials, suitable alternate parts lists and mechanical drawings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or closely related areas.
* Proficiency with common industry CAD packages (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Inventor etc.).
* Ability to read and generate engineering drawings.
* NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.
