At Fresh 92.7, we're built on one core principle: discovering and developing the next generation of radio talent. As Content Director, you'll play a crucial role in mentoring and training volunteers, helping them hone their skills and find their voice in the industry. You'll lead content planning and delivery to solidify Fresh's position in the Adelaide market, ensuring our programming meets license requirements while reflecting and resonating with the local community. Your core responsibilities include
1. Shape the sound of Fresh: Develop and execute a bold programming strategy across music, shows, interviews, and more, keeping Fresh exciting and relevant.
2. Create hyper-local, high-energy content: Engage the 18-39 demo with content that captures the heart of Adelaide and its people.
3. Mentor the next generation: Coach and develop our volunteer announcers, giving them the tools and confidence to thrive on-air.
4. Champion digital content: Work with our online team to ensure our shows are amplified across all platforms.
5. Lead and inspire: Guide on-air personalities, producers, and writers to craft unique, compelling content that keeps listeners coming back for more.
6. Track audience engagement: Monitor ratings and listener feedback, tweaking content strategies to stay ahead of the game.
7. Collaborate across departments: Work closely with marketing, sales, and promotions to integrate content with sponsorships, partnerships, and campaigns.
8. Oversee station imaging and promos: Maintain the Fresh sound and ensure we're always on-brand.
9. Keep us ahead of the curve: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging content formats to keep Fresh at the forefront.
10. Drive commercial success: Support brand activations and commercial goals while staying true to Fresh's identity.
What we're looking for
1. Experience as a Content Director, Content Manager, or similar leadership role in radio.
2. A deep understanding of radio broadcasting rules and regulations.
3. A passionate leader who knows how to bring out the best in people.
4. Strong communication skills—you know how to give clear direction, deliver constructive feedback, and collaborate effectively.
5. A strategic mindset with the ability to turn vision into results.
6. Tech-savvy, with experience in broadcasting equipment and software.
7. Well-connected in the Adelaide community, with the ability to build meaningful industry relationships.
