Avionics Systems Engineers & Technical Officers – Multiple Levels

The opportunity
Airbus Australia Pacific is seeking passionate and driven engineers to join our
Avionics Systems Team
. We have multiple opportunities available across
Senior Engineer, Junior Engineer, and Technical Officer
levels.
As part of the Engineering team, you will provide Avionics Systems Engineering support across a diverse range of Defence aviation programs. You will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective engineering solutions in compliance with regulatory, customer, and Airbus requirements.
What You'll Do
Working closely with the Team Lead Avionics Systems, you will:
* Develop and deliver engineering solutions using a systems engineering design philosophy.
* Contribute to design, analysis, integration, testing, and documentation activities.
* Support the achievement of team and business objectives, aligned with Airbus strategies.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at all times.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure fleet serviceability.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in professionals across a range of experience levels:
Senior Engineer
* 8+ years' professional experience in avionics, electronics, or systems engineering.
* Detailed knowledge of aviation regulations (DASR, CAANZ, CASA, etc.).
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or ability to obtain.
* Experience in planning, managing complex tasks, and delivering cost-effective solutions.
Junior Engineer
* Recently graduated or early career professional in avionics, electronics, or related discipline.
* Keen interest in aviation and systems engineering.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
* Willingness to learn, grow, and work toward Chartered status.
Technical Officer
* Practical experience in aviation engineering support (maintenance, integration, or modification).
* Strong understanding of avionics systems, technical documentation, and compliance processes.
* Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues under guidance.
* Diploma or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering field.
