We're searching for a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Controller Lead to join our client's fast-paced Distribution Centre in Western Sydney. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. About the Role As the Inventory Controller Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and process compliance across the site. This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll manage both the planning and execution of inventory control activities while supporting broader DC operations. Key Responsibilities Oversee accuracy in receiving and put-away processes; provide detailed reporting, analysis, and insights to management. Maintain all non-pickable locations and ensure availability of stock for Centre ordering. Investigate discrepancies, inbound variances, and ensure timely reporting to the Inventory Planning team. Ensure all rework inventory is processed and ready for distribution. Develop and communicate daily operational plans during pre-start meetings. Support urgent or critical needs across departments as required. Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. Perform loading/unloading of vehicles as needed. Coach and mentor your second-in-charge to support succession planning and team coverage. Maintain inventory integrity by initiating timely adjustments or approval requests. Respond to inquiries and emails professionally within 24 hours. Allocate inventory-related tasks to warehouse staff to maintain operational flow. Liaise with Centres regarding any dispatch errors or stock issues.
