SYPAQ is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team based at our corporate office on Bertie St, Port Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Administration and through support of your team, this role is pivotal in ensuring the effective administration of SYPAQ Group's finances with a strong focus on timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
* Lead and Manage staff ensuring the effective delivery of financial and administrative services including:
* Supervision of Accounts Payable and Receivable process
* Supervision of Service Desk requests
* Management reporting (P&L and project level) including variance analysis (monthly)
* Ensuring general ledger accuracy
* Review and ownership of the balance sheet
* Tax compliance (GST, FBT, Income Tax)
* Oversight of payroll accounting
* Ad-hoc finance function queries
Qualifications
* A degree in Business Studies or Commerce or Financial Management
* CPA or CAANZ
* Engineering or Manufacturing background is desirable (Projects)
* Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
* Minimum 8 years accounting experience
* Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills
* Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite
