ABBA Engineering is seeking
skilled and experienced Boilermakers / Metal Fabricators
to join our Kalgoorlie workshop team. We are looking for candidates with strong technical fabrication abilities, a commitment to high-quality workmanship, and the capability to work effectively in a busy workshop environment. This full-time role offers consistent Monday–Friday work with opportunities for growth and upskilling within the team.

About the Role
As a Workshop Boilermaker, you will fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal structures and components within the workshop. You will work with cutting-edge machinery and tooling, producing high-quality components that meet project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to plan fabrication tasks
* Measure, cut, shape, and form metal materials using grinders, saws, torches, rollers, and presses
* Assemble and tack weld components and structures to design specifications
* Perform high-quality welding using GMAW (MIG), FCAW, SMAW (ARC), and GTAW (TIG) processes
* Repair and modify metal components and structures as required
* Conduct quality inspections and follow QA/QC procedures
* Operate workshop machinery and tooling efficiently and safely, performing routine maintenance
* Fit and assemble components accurately to ensure quality and structural integrity
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
* Complete required documentation such as Take 5s, JHAs, material requests, and daily timesheets
About You
Required:
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent
* Qualified Metal Fabricator or Boilermaker with strong fabrication skills
* Minimum 2-years post-apprenticeship as a boilermaker, metal fabricator or similar role.
* Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
* Strong attention to detail, workmanship, and safety mindset
* Current Australian driver's licence and full work rights
Desirable:
* Confined Space and Working at Heights certification
* High-Risk Work Licence (e.g., Forklift, EWP)
* Pressure welding experience highly regarded
