Join us as a Slack Technical Lead within the Employee Experience Technology Team. Our focus within the Employee Experience team is delivering and supporting the deployment of workplace technology tools and devices across Banking Financial Services, with a core focus on Slack.

In this role, you will be accountable for the technical configuration and delivery of Slack in particular ensuring deployment, operations, integrations and industry best practice is met. You will also be responsible for technical delivery of Slack features, which will require you to understand and drive technical development and meet expected timelines.

Initial focus is on scaling of the service and ensuring best practice configuration and deployment is adhered to. You will provide direction to a small team of support engineers for administration, development and operational activities.

You will lead all technical engagement for the team and be required to interact with technical and business stakeholders. You will be ultimately accountable for the resolution of any escalation for Level 2 support queries.

This role requires close collaboration with various internal and external technology and business teams. You will also have a customer-obsessed attitude with excellent communication skills.

A background in Workplace Collaboration Tools, device management, networking, and automation in large enterprise environments will be key to your success in this role. Ideally you will come with experience in Slack Management. In addition, your technical skills will include:

- Knowledge of channel-based communication and messaging tools preferably Slack
- experience in design, implementation, deployment, and management of SaaS based communication and collaboration tools
- understanding of driving integrations with other systems and apps
- conceptual understanding of security concepts and security configuration
- a DevOps mindset, with a strong drive for automation and innovation
- understanding of APIs to create custom apps and workflows
- documentation skills in referencing existing and developing new materials where required. Confluence and JIRA tools will be considered favourable
- comfortable in setting technical direction of the team and determining priority
- ability to negotiate and collaborate with central teams to achieve beneficial outcomes
- core characteristics as an enthusiastic team-player with self-starting ability and comfort in autonomy
- any understanding of endpoint management, operating systems or SaaS based services will also be considered
