Job Overview
As a seasoned event sales professional, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our event sales operation. This includes driving business growth through proactive market development, strategic marketing initiatives, and strong client relationship management.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing sales and events team to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences across diverse events.
* Oversee marketing, promotional activities, trade shows and digital campaigns to maximise visibility and engagement.
* Manage reporting and analysis of sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, corporate clients, and the wedding sector, ensuring alignment with UQ Venues' strategic objectives.
* Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in event management; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams.
* Strong sales ability and a track record of attracting and converting new business.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
