St Patrick is a co-educational primary school with an enrolment of over 340 students. Help maintain and care for the school's grounds, including gardens, lawns and sporting ovals, creating a vibrant environment for all.

About the Opportunity
Removal of rubbish and debris from garden and grounds areas including emptying bins and disposing of waste material to maintain a clean, tidy, and litter-free school building and grounds environment
Routinely maintaining and/or repairing reticulation and irrigation systems, under supervision
Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others
Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top-dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging
Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals, including moving equipment to and from venues
Perform basic maintenance duties throughout the school
Clean up of spills and accidents during the school day
Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials required for maintenance
About You
A safety mindset: aware of risks, following safety protocols, using PPE, and ensuring the safety of yourself and others while maintaining the grounds and equipment
Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery including but not limited to lawn mower, trimmer, hedger and pressure cleaner
Experience assisting in the upkeep of playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing under supervision
Capability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals
Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements
Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
