About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.
TAFE SA is now inviting applications from suitable candidates, in line with the selection criteria outlined within the Role Descriptor and Industry Addendum.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Fabrication and Welding, with current, hands-on industry involvement
- Trade qualifications to a minimum of Certificate III
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or TAE40116
- Strong expertise in advanced welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding, along with comprehensive fabrication skills
- Understanding of current fabrication industry trends, knowledge and cultural practices
- Familiarity with the MEM Training Package and its application in vocational education
- Proficient in using digital tools (e.g. email, PowerPoint, web-based platforms, spreadsheets, and Office suite) to support training delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate effectively with colleagues
