Key Responsibilities of a Tax Manager
The role of a Tax Manager involves overseeing the tax compliance for group entities in Australia and New Zealand, encompassing both indirect and direct taxes. This includes reviewing GST computations, returns, and tax payments for group entities in both countries.
Specific Tasks
* Australian GST Computations: Extensive review and evaluation of GST matters, including input credits, Div 66 credits, and Review of Capital Allowances (RCTIs).
* Tax Return Lodgement: Management of BAS, PAYG, and FBT returns, ensuring timely lodgement and accurate reporting.
* Tax Audits and Investigations: Handling audits, reviews, and investigations by the Australian or New Zealand revenue authorities, addressing any queries or notices raised.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax technical advice, supporting various business units within the organization, and actively contributing to group simplification initiatives and M&A transactions.
