IT Support Engineer
We're seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide exceptional technical support across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and resolving all 1st and 2nd level IT-related requests, ensuring employees have the tools and assistance they need to work effectively.
The Opportunity
To deliver exceptional end-user support across all Information Technology and Communications systems within the business. Beyond day-to-day troubleshooting, you'll take a proactive role in identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending enhancements to our IT environment, and ensuring our systems remain efficient and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1st level support on IT applications and infrastructure
* Build and deployment of IT equipment including laptops, iPads, and POS
* Maintain active directory environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability
* Work with hosting partner organizations to configure, maintain, and update cloud services
* Oversee corporate security practices for staff and internal stakeholders
* Participate in IT budget processing
* Procure, manage, and monitor contracts for ICT services by third parties to ensure effective service delivery
Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge and experience with Windows and Mac OS systems
* Exceptional problem-solving and logical troubleshooting skills
* Able to clearly communicate in a constructive way and demonstrate diplomacy when dealing with difficult people or colleagues from a different culture or with differing opinions
* Strong teamwork, supporting colleagues both within and outside immediate teams in the achievement of business objectives
* Comprehensive written skills to create user-friendly documentation and reference manuals of all IT systems
* Commitment to working with a culturally diverse workforce
* Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations
* Confidence, passion, and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the brand
* Tertiary qualifications in Computer and Information Systems and/or Microsoft MCP, Cisco CCNA certifications or higher qualifications
* Extensive knowledge and administration of Oracle Micros (POS & Inventory) systems is preferred
* Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills using Microsoft Client products and any major vendor technologies
* Experience using Microsoft Admin & Intune
* Relevant experience supporting the IT environment of a retail or F&B business is desirable
