Kennedys is seeking an Associate with 1 to 2 years' experience to join our Sydney office. Working closely with Partner Llinos Kent, you will gain experience across complex coverage and defence matters, with a focus on professional indemnity, financial lines, warranty and indemnity, and regulatory investigations.
This is a strong opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to deepen their experience through hands‐on training, close mentorship and practical guidance. You'll work with Llinos as she advises Asia Pacific, US and London market insurers and reinsurers, gaining exposure to sophisticated cross‐border matters as part of an internationally recognised firm.
What You'll Do
* Work on professional indemnity, financial lines, warranty and indemnity, and regulatory investigations
* Assist with complex coverage matters, including policy interpretation and coverage advice
* Support defence matters and litigated claims across a range of insurance lines
* Draft correspondence, pleadings, advices and other legal documents
* Build your technical capability and client skills through hands‐on learning, close guidance and day‐to‐day supervision
About You
* 1 to 2 years' experience in insurance, litigation or general dispute resolution from a reputable law firm
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good attention to detail and sound organisational skills
* A team‐oriented approach and genuine interest in building your career within an international firm
