Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and organized Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for providing professional support to operational functions, including project cost analysis and financial reporting.
* Review project expenditures, verify financial submissions, and assess cost variations to identify risks or deviations.
* Collaborate with project and finance teams to ensure consistent and transparent expenditure control.
* Assist in preparing a cost review model from monthly project financials and perform in-depth financial analysis to assess cost performance and evaluate financial impacts.
Your Key Responsibilities
* End of month activities such as accruals, cost transfers, and manual cost adjustments.
* Prepare and distribute the monthly management reports.
* Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with ad hoc projects.
* Work and liaise with other departments.
Your Attributes
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and energetic with a willingness to learn and develop skills. You should be self-driven and use initiative, client-focused with excellent attention to detail, and have strong planning and organizational skills.
* Fluent in English and Mandarin.
* Strong written communication skills in Chinese.
* Strong cost analysis knowledge.
* Advanced excel skills.
* Right to work in Australia.
* Desirable: Previous mining experience and Power BI skills.
