About the role & company:
Intro Recruitment Professional Solutions has partnered with one of Queensland's most recognised names in electrical contracting and engineering. They have an impressive portfolio of D&C projects spread across multiple sectors, with many noteworthy projects that have resulted in the ultimate recognition of industry awards.
Due to recent project wins and an ever-increasing pipeline in Southeast Queensland, they are looking for 3 x Project Managers to join the design and delivery team in Brisbane. This opportunity will suit Project Managers who have progressed from their electrical trade and have experience managing similar commercial or industrial projects valued greater than $5M. Experience is key, but they would also like to speak with career-driven individuals who want to grow with a company and have an appetite for personal development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* A functional and dependable team member
* Managing day to day operational aspects delivering projects
* Preparation of scope works, budgets, and cost plans
* Monitor construction programs and communicate progress clearly with your team
* Reporting, monitoring labour, materials, plant and equipment and direction of electrical teams
* Direct sub-contractors and promote a collaborative work culture
* Arrange product control reports and provide updates to Senior Management
* Identify, monitor and respond to risks on your projects
* Represent the company brand and lead from the front with all matters relating to HSEQ
* Client and key project stakeholder engagement
* Assist in the management and tracking of project expenditures against budget
* Coordinate project and job scheduling
* Ongoing business development and identifying growth opportunities for the business
About you:
* Valid Electrical Licence (can change to QLD)
* 2+ years experience as an Electrical Project Manager
* Experience leading projects valued between $5M - $20M+
* Commercial/Industrial project experience leading a medium to large site team
* A Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering is advantageous
* Established relationships with electrical suppliers and subcontractors in Brisbane
* Ability to drive a team and problem-solve
* Ability to manage multiple projects if and when required
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong commercial knowledge of Australian standards
* Genuine interest in joining a high-performing team in electrical contracting
