Public Sector People is partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Asset Officer based in Sydney.
Asset Officer (6 months contract with view to extend)
$60k + Super per year.
Asset Management Planning
Develop, implement, and review asset management plans for council infrastructure (e.g., roads, buildings, parks, stormwater, and community facilities) to ensure assets are maintained and renewed in line with service levels, regulatory requirements, and long‐term strategic objectives.
Lifecycle and Financial Planning
Analyse asset condition, performance data, and lifecycle costs to forecast renewal and maintenance needs, support long‐term financial planning (e.g., 10‐year asset plans), and ensure sustainable funding strategies for council assets.
Capital Works and Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with engineering, finance and operational teams to prioritise asset renewal and upgrade projects, contribute to capital works programs, and provide asset planning advice to support council decision‐making and community outcomes.
Essential
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related.
* Minimum 4+ years experience in Asset Management position or similar.
* Knowledge of Civica Authority is essential.
