Urban Planning Project Manager Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead urban planning projects, overseeing the delivery of strategic and statutory outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage diverse portfolios of urban planning projects with full ownership and accountability.
* Prepare and review comprehensive planning reports, submissions, and presentations for key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
* Provide expert advice and solutions for urban planning matters across various projects.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, government authorities, and the community.
* Take responsibility for managing projects from initiation to completion, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field.
* A solid understanding of planning legal practice and the ability to apply relevant laws effectively.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
* Proven experience in managing urban planning projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Desirable Skills:
* A minimum of 8 years' experience in urban planning, with a strong background in both statutory and strategic planning.
* Post-graduate qualifications or membership with the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
* Experience managing urban renewal or large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, or other planning-related software.
