About the Role
As an Area Manager at The Grove Academy, you'll oversee multiple centres in our Newcastle cluster ensuring excellence in operations, compliance, and staff support. Your leadership will directly contribute to maintaining high standards and fostering a collaborative, positive culture across our centres.
Key Responsibilities
* Staff Management: Support and guide staff across centres by helping with staffing needs, conducting regular appraisals, and ensuring new team members feel welcomed with thorough inductions.
* Training & Mentorship: Foster a culture of growth by providing continuous training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
* Compliance & Audits: Conduct regular audits across centres, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting the Assessment and Rating (A&R) process.
* Regulatory & Licensing Compliance: Ensure centres meet regulatory and licensing requirements, policies, and procedures.
* Director Support: Provide operational support to Centre Directors, assist with challenges, key action items, and oversee the start‐up of new centres.
* Incident & Risk Management: Respond to incidents or complaints with care, ensuring timely action, documentation, and reporting.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficiency, and assess operations for improvement areas.
* Quality & Improvement: Implement and evaluate the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and self‐assessments to improve educational practices.
* Leadership & Team Collaboration: Organise cluster and Assistant Director meetings, fostering communication and collaboration across centres.
Skills & Experience
* Significant experience in managing multiple early childhood education centres or large teams.
* Strong leadership and people‐management skills to inspire and motivate.
* Deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time‐management skills.
* Genuine passion for creating meaningful, positive impacts in children's lives and the community.
