Deputy Principal – North Rockhampton State High School
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dynamic educator to join the leadership team as a Deputy Principal. The successful applicant will develop the quality of teaching and learning and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders. This is a temporary full-time position starting 25 May 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
With a focus on Junior Secondary (Years 7 & 8), you will be responsible for leading the following activities and delivering the key tasks:
* Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Deputise for the Principal when required.
* Uphold the deputy principalship as a values‑based, ethical and moral activity.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
* Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
* Be future‑oriented and strategic.
