SUNSHINE COAST based position is offered by one of Queensland's most respected specialist automotive rustproofing and polyurethane ute liner (SPEEDLINER) Authorised Dealership.
We require the services of a job focused spray technician with some mechanical aptitude and understanding. You work well in a small team environment. Full systems training will be provided, so being keen to learn and being keen to follow our systems is an absolute MUST.
You are well organised and tidy, as the role will require a good deal of hands-on work. Operating car hoist / lift operations, loading and unloading all types of vehicles and spray applications of rustproofing and ute liner coatings.
Your effort is always geared toward ensuring the best possible result for our brand's exceptional reputation and quality of workmanship. Absolute system integrity and the best possible outcomes for our customers are always a priority. You have a logical mind and have a very common-sense approach to your work, particularly when it comes to handling everyday challenges. ALL THE WHILE drawing upon our systems for solutions and advice.
This role would suit a mechanic, panel beater, fitter, trade assistant, handy-man or experienced 4x4 enthusiast.
Automotive experience would be very well regarded however is NOT considered mandatory as a detailed full system induction training protocol is in place. You must be extremely reliable and having a current, valid (manual) driver's license.
Working closely with the manager and support staff, you'll delight them with your ability to get this fairly straightforward job done with good humour and can-do-attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, clean and mask up vehicles (e.g., trucks, light vehicles, and 4x4s) before applying rustproofing treatments and Spray On Ute Liners.
- Apply rustproofing coatings to chassis and structural components following company guidelines.
- Apply SPEEDLINER (Spray On Liner) to Ute Trays
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project requirements.
- Follow technical specifications and safety guidelines to ensure high-quality results.
About You:
- No prior experience required—we will provide training to candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
- Automotive experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Valid manual driver's licence (as mentioned in the job description)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
- Eligible to work in Australia
