Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is a world class, industry-owned and privately-funded Terminal located at the Port of Gladstone.
This modern, state of the art terminal was built to expand the region's coal export capacity, becoming operational in ****.
WICET is a $4 billion investment which operates with a high degree of automation and is committed to operating in a safe, environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.
We are seeking an Engineering Lead to be based at the Terminal in Gladstone.
The Engineering Lead is responsible for all engineering and project management activities through the effective leadership of resources with a focus on best for business outcomes.
Reporting to the Terminal General Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
Ensuring the compliance of health, safety, and environment requirements by conducting all activities with a risk management focus.
Leading a team of mechanical, electrical and control systems engineers whilst driving a high-performance culture.
Lead and deliver the Capex program - managing the planning, engineering and delivery of multidisciplinary capital works.
Provide governance and technical expertise and maintain the standards of the terminal.
Department management - financial, commercial, environment, safety, information, performance management, and recruitment.
Governance and reporting of the work management program - improving and executing maintenance management strategies.
Engage and build relationships with cross functional stakeholder groups to drive overarching business objectives.
About you
10+ years' experience leading teams of engineering professionals in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Degree qualification in engineering, (essential), developing asset maintenance strategies.
Demonstrated history in leading teams and driving a culture of high performance.
Strong stakeholder engagement, a collaborative approach and relationship building skills.
