Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently sourcing for Freight Handlers for one of our clients based in the Perth Airport.
The duties would involve working as a porter, including processing incoming mail/parcels from interstate or overseas, driving a tugger cart around the site to move the products, as well as use of the forklift. This position would be a great opportunity to gain experience in the aviation/logistics industry, as well as exposure to industry specific software programming.
**About your new role**:
- Loading and unloading of freight from courier vans and ULD's
- Processing inbound and outbound freight
- Sorting, weighing and scanning of parcels
- Checking consignments
- Fast paced environment
- Possess a valid Forklift Licence (LF) or be willing to obtain one
- Be willing to pass a National Criminal History Check and Drug & Alcohol Test
- Have strong reliability and a great attitude towards work
- It is a requirement of our client that in order to be successful for this role, you must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
