About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Groundsperson to join our team based at Runcorn. The role oversees the care of numerous sports fields that cater for cricket, soccer and rugby. They keep the fields looking pristine all year round to support student life.
Responsibilities
* Assist with garden maintenance tasks: hedging, weeding, pruning, planting, mulching and garden enhancement.
* Operate hand tools such as hedgers, blowers, whipper snippers and petrol gear such as push mowers and ride‐on plant equipment safely and effectively under guidance of experienced team members.
* Operate and maintain specialised equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Collaborate with other teams to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks and deliver exceptional results.
* Communicate effectively with the client to understand their expectations, address concerns and provide care and upkeep recommendations.

About You
Ideally, you have a White Card, Drivers Licence and Working with Children Card. You are seeking a change and would relish the chance to be responsible for maintaining and enhancing sporting fields across a prestigious site. You are proud of your knowledge levels regarding grass species, growth habits and maintenance requirements. You are familiar with all turf equipment, including mowers, aerators and sprayers. With a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic and a commitment to completing tasks to the highest standards, you are ready to partner with our client and deliver results that exceed their expectations.
