Your role
This role is responsible for delivering evidence‐based case management to a diverse caseload of offenders, ensuring their individual risks and needs are addressed to maximise rehabilitation opportunities and reduce reoffending.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high‐quality, evidence‐based case management services to offenders, ensuring all activities align with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify risks, needs and strengths, using these to develop personalised case plans that support offenders through their rehabilitation journey.
- Apply motivational interviewing and strengths‐based approaches to support behavioural change and encourage offender accountability.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external service providers to connect offenders with programs and interventions that best align with their individual case plans.
- Monitor progress against case plans, ensuring compliance with judicial and departmental requirements, and preparing timely reports and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support effective reintegration planning and assist offenders in making a successful transition back into the community.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience delivering evidence‐based interventions to diverse offender groups, including those with complex needs.
- Proficiency in using risk assessments and case management tools to design targeted, outcomes‐focused intervention plans.
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with experience addressing challenging behaviours using proven behavioural intervention strategies.
- Sound understanding of contemporary correctional practices, with a commitment to offender rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.
- Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, person‐centred case management support.
- A current Certificate IV in Correctional Practice with the relevant Units of Competency or the ability to complete the qualification through the Corrective Services Academy within required timeframes.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in human services or related fields (preferred but not essential).
