Head of Digital Advertising Operations
About the Role:
As Head of Digital Advertising Operations, you will drive the strategic and operational performance of our advertising ecosystem. You will oversee the full ad tech stack, campaign operations, programmatic delivery, and inventory management across multiple platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring revenue-generating opportunities are fully optimised, campaigns deliver as promised, market expectations around ad quality are exceeded, and that our operations are streamlined and future-focused.
* Oversee the full ad operations and technology ecosystem to enable revenue growth, operational excellence, and best-practice campaign delivery
* Develop and execute monetisation strategies through forecasting, pricing, and yield optimisation, leveraging data analysis to guide decision-making
* Champion new ad tech initiatives, evaluate tools for revenue impact, and lead a high-performing team toward clear KPIs and continuous improvement
* Manage the Ad Technology function and platform ecosystem, evaluating, implementing, and optimising tools that drive commercial outcomes and operational efficiency
* Continuously optimise ad supply and revenue by identifying risks and opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends, and building strategic vendor partnerships
* Oversee campaign management and offshore trafficking to ensure quality delivery, KPI achievement, and strong cross-functional collaboration and swift operational resolution
* Manage and optimise programmatic revenue by overseeing partner relationships, contracts, and performance; analyse demand data to drive strategic growth
* Drive revenue growth by shaping pricing strategy, assessing market trends, optimising traffic quality, and collaborating cross-functionally on data-led media solutions
Requirements:
* Experience in Revenue Operations at a major digital publisher - preferred
* Experience managing Ad Tech and / or Ad Operations team - critical
* Digital Media Sales / Commercial experience - highly beneficial
* Extensive team management skills with a collaborative culture and a focus on developing careers
* The ability to straddle commercial / data / ad tech / ad operations functions comfortably
* The drive to build deep collaborative internal relationships and have good relationships in the market across agencies and ad tech vendors
* Proven analytical and strategic planning skills
* The ability to communicate clearly and calmly, go high-level or deep into technical discussions, and be a natural negotiator
* Knowledge and experience in understanding contracts and the ability to work with legal to ensure group needs are protected at all times
* Experience with Ad Operations, Ad Tech, Data and Analytics tools, along with Google and Microsoft
