Overnight Newborn Nanny – Shailer Park, QLD Preferred Start Date: 11 June 2026
Contract Term: 4 months with potential to extend
Pay: $40–45 per hour
Hours and Days:
* Thursday & Friday Nights: 7:00 pm – 6:00 am
* Potential for Wednesday nights and occasional additional evening babysitting as needed

A warm and caring family based in Shailer Park, QLD is seeking an experienced and trustworthy overnight nanny to support them with the care of their 2-month-old baby.
The family values integrity, open communication, kindness and creating a calm, peaceful home environment. They are looking for someone who can provide nurturing overnight support while becoming a trusted extension of the family.
The Role
This role is focused on overnight newborn support, helping care for the baby throughout the night while ensuring routines and the nursery remain organised and calm.
A bed will be provided for the nanny during overnight shifts.
Duties include:
* Overnight care and support for the baby
* Feeding, settling and resettling overnight
* Monitoring and supporting sleep routines
* Maintaining a calm and nurturing environment
* Occasional light household assistance during quieter periods
Household Support
Light household duties may include:
* Folding washing
* Taking bins out
* Tidying the baby's room and shared spaces before shift end
The family's priority is quality newborn care and support overnight.
Pets
The family has a friendly Labrador. No pet care is required, however the nanny should be comfortable around dogs.

Requirements
* 5+ years previous newborn nanny experience essential
* Childcare qualifications preferred
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Current Blue Card
* Driver's licence and own car required
* Strong communication skills
* Non-smoker
* Up to date with all vaccinations including whooping cough
