What you'll be doing
As the HiTH Respiratory Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide advanced clinical consultancy, leadership and specialist respiratory expertise to patients, carers and healthcare professionals managing acute and acute-on-chronic respiratory conditions.

· Deliver expert person-centred respiratory consultancy and participate in complex direct patient care across the HiTH Service

· Lead, educate and mentor clinicians in best-practice respiratory assessment, treatment and care management

· Develop, implement and evaluate innovative clinical pathways, policies and models of care to strengthen service delivery

· Drive quality improvement, research activities and evidence-based initiatives that enhance patient outcomes

· Contribute to strategic and operational planning to support the continued growth of specialist respiratory care across the District

Essential Criteria:

· Registration: Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Registered Nurse with extensive, minimum 5 years, postgraduate clinical experience and holds postgraduate qualifications relevant to Respiratory Nursing, or working towards same

2. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff, clients, families and stakeholders

3. Highly developed leadership, communication, coaching and facilitation skills

4. Knowledgeable regarding the management of patient complaints and patient privacy

5. Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail

6. Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex clinical issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and clinical improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes.
