Areas you can work in
* STRAS unit: A dedicated 20-bed unit for temporary care while awaiting placement in aged care facilities. Multidisciplinary care focuses on personalised support during transition.
* Acute Medical Services: Immediate, short-term care for urgent medical conditions with a focus on stabilisation, diagnosis, and early treatment.
* Palliative Care: Patient-centered support for life-limiting illnesses, focusing on comfort, symptom management, and emotional support.
* Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Services: Personalised rehabilitation to regain independence, transitioning patients from hospital to home or other care settings.
* Surgical Services: General and minor respiratory procedures with inpatient and day-surgery options.
The location: Belmont Hospital serves the Lake Macquarie community, with enhanced education support and a welcoming environment. The hospital offers a range of specialities including 24-hour emergency care, adult acute coronary care, general surgery and medicine, day surgery, sub-acute and aged care, and palliative care. Belmont is located at the northern end of Lake Macquarie with access to local amenities and transport.
Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
