We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our esteemed Retail Property Management team. Reporting to the National Finance Manager, you will assist in financial and management accounting and reporting for a retail portfolio for a strategic client. This dynamic role involves working closely with center staff to support their needs and provide insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare monthly financial reports, including trial balance, P&L commentary versus budget, and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Conduct income and outgoings accruals analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
3. Provide detailed commentary on actual income and expenditure, explaining significant variances from budget or forecast.
4. Complete and review balance sheet and outgoings reconciliations for approval by the Centre Management Team.
5. Assist Property and Facilities Managers with budgeting, forecasting, and support during audits.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years accounting experience, preferably in property or retail sectors.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Customer service orientation with a focus on achieving outcomes.
