**Overview**:
This is a key role for Foundry, the public face of our flagship technology publication in a rapidly growing market. Based in Australia, and able to travel throughout the region, the Editor of CIO Australia will be an important figure both within the CIO community, and inside Foundry.
The main goal of this role is to increase the profile of CIO with both in-market CIOs and our customers to increase brand awareness and help drive event portfolio growth.
The role will be a combination of meeting with CIOs (both informally and formally) to write and record profile interviews and supporting the sales teams with meetings and pitches, in addition to spearheading our CIO in-market event offerings.
The role will work as a client-facing strategist for Marketing Services Programmes (that content will be produced by other editorial teams). Working alongside our in-region editors for CIO, the CIO Editor will be a figurehead who presents and delivers events, drawing on strong audience and commercial relationships.
The editorial content produced by this role will form the local content that makes CIO locally relevant. The role will lean on our Online Editor and in-market salespeople for local contacts, too. The role is supported by a worldwide team of editorial and SEO leaders for help with content strategy and editing.

- Growing and maintaining the size and engagement of the local database of CIOs
- Ensuring event portfolio grows year on year.
- Drive in-market brand presence and awareness.
- Delivering commercial programmes delivered and meeting targets.
- Ongoing, regular client meetings to ensure content relevance and brand awareness ongoing
**Qualifications**:
- At least two years of B2B editorial experience, ideally in a technology-focused role
- Strong industry contacts to drive event portfolio growth
- Demonstrable experience of writing interviews and case studies
- Some experience of working with salespeople and customers, ideally on commercial content
- Some experience of presenting at events is desired - a willingness to do so is critical
