Salary: $79,500 per annum plus Superannuation
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a range of motor vehicles while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Skills and Experience Required
* Trade qualification in Automotive Technology
* Diploma qualification will be highly regarded
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic in an Australian workshop setting
* Solid diagnostic and fault‐finding skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems
* Carrying out repairs and replacement of worn or defective parts and components
* Performing scheduled servicing and preventative vehicle maintenance
* Testing and adjusting repaired systems to ensure safety and proper performance
* Tuning engines using diagnostic and electronic testing equipment
* Repairing and maintaining vehicle electrical systems including ignition, lighting, and fuel injection systems
* Reassembling engines and mechanical components following repair work
* Attending breakdown and repair service requirements when required
* Maintaining accurate records of servicing and repair work completed
* Ensuring workshop cleanliness and compliance with workplace safety standards
