This role exists to provide medical care to employees (our patients), whilst supporting their employer (our clients) and their insurers, (our stakeholders) in managing the safety, risk and injury management requirements incumbent on them as employers. The role of Occupational Health Doctor is a front-line role, critical in balancing the relationships, interests, risks and legal responsibilities of the employer, the insurer and other stakeholders, whilst keeping the clinical and medical care of the patient at the centre of everything we do. Your day will be spent meeting patients, making them feel comfortable, and helping them with their medical, clinical and occupational care. The majority of your contact will be directly with patients, however there will be client communication via the injury management coordinators and HR staff, meaning you need to be flexible and able to context switch when required. You will be supported by a competent and well-trained team of clinical technicians who will make your high volume workload fun and manageable. You will also have frequent direct contact with our physiotherapy partners. About you: • Graduate or undergraduate medical degree (4-6 years) at a registered medical school. • Be a current registered Medical Practitioner with APHRA and registered with Medicare. • Evidence of continued professional development since becoming registered. • Experience in the occupational health and workers compensation system preferred • Some experience with emergency orthopaedics is desirable Salary model: Fixed salary with super and annual leave.
